Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential (or eligibility)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in Life Skills or adaptive curriculum environments
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborative mindset for working with teachers, parents, and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver Life Skills instruction to elementary students, tailoring lessons to diverse needs and abilities
• Create a supportive, structured classroom environment that promotes student independence
• Utilize evidence-based strategies for modifying curriculum, instruction, and classroom activities
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting IEP goals as needed
• Engage in regular communication with families, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure student success
• Fulfill all required reporting and documentation responsibilities in a timely manner
