Job Summary The Medical Assistant 2 serves as the first point of contact for patient care and supports both clinical and administrative functions in a fast-paced outpatient care setting. This role involves moderately complex tasks and requires the ability to work with minimal supervision while ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties
- Collect patient information and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Measure and record vital signs
- Administer injections and perform diagnostic tests
- Collect specimens and perform blood draws
- Sterilize and maintain medical equipment
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms
- Deliver patient care within the scope of certification
- Collaborate with Physicians and Nurses for patient care
- Perform customer service and operational support tasks
- Manage documentation and communication (MS Outlook)
- Perform basic computations and reporting
- Follow departmental policies and procedures
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) - Mandatory
- 1-3 years of Medical Assistant experience (back-office/direct patient care)
- Valid certification/licensure (RMA or CMA)
- Current CPR certification
- Less than 2 years of leadership experience
- Experience in fast-paced/high-volume environments
- Basic computer skills (MS Outlook)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient-focused with a commitment to improving service experience
- High School Diploma
- Hands-on Phlebotomy experience
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Experience with HEDIS
- Active certification from recognized bodies:
- AAMA
- NHA
- ARMA
- NAHP
- AMT
- Radiologic Technologist License (ARRT) (nice to have)
- Outpatient care setting
- Fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Semi-routine tasks with some independent decision-making
