Job Title: Accounting Assistant
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our client to support the accuracy and efficiency of daily financial operations. This role focuses on maintaining reliable financial records, ensuring timely processing of transactions, and supporting both payables and receivables functions. The Accounting Assistant will work closely with the accounting team to help keep workflows organized and on track. This is an onsite, direct hire opportunity based in Reading, PA within a structured and fast paced office environment.
Compensation:
$45,000 to $55,000 per year
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with some flexibility
Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant:

• Support daily accounts payable and accounts receivable activities by processing invoices, payments, and related documentation
• Record and track incoming payments while assisting with account balancing and routine financial reporting
• Maintain accurate vendor records and respond to inquiries from internal teams and external contacts
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Contribute to overall accounting operations by organizing records and helping maintain efficient processes

Qualifications and Skills for the Accounting Assistant:

• One to three years of experience supporting accounting functions such as accounts payable or accounts receivable
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle financial data accurately and consistently
• Experience with invoice processing, reconciliations, and general accounting tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast paced work environment
