Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare facility in Orland Park, IL seeks a Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week contract with the possibility of extension. This role provides essential pharmacist services within an inpatient hospital environment, working closely with clinical teams to ensure optimal medication management and patient care.
The position features rotating first and second shifts, offering variety in daily responsibilities:
- Shift hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM
- Rotating weekend schedule
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in the inpatient hospital setting.
- Utilize clinical knowledge to review and optimize medication therapy for patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient safety and treatment outcomes.
- Document and manage clinical interventions using the Cerner computer system.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Illinois pharmacy license.
- Strong clinical experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy.
- Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy information system is a significant advantage.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends.
