Environmental Engineer I

TRC is seeking an Environmental Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist to join our growing Engineering, Construction and Remediation Practice in New York City, NY. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with 0-2 years of environmental consulting experience. Responsibilities Preparation of technical specifications and design drawings for environmental remediation projects, including remedial system design, vapor intrusion mitigation, remedial excavation, chemical injections, pilot tests, and feasibility studies. Management and preparation of Environmental Subsurface Investigations, Indoor Air Quality Investigations, Community Air Monitoring Plans, Health and Safety Plans, and other environmental assessments. Perform field work, including construction inspections and soil, stormwater, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling. Remedial Investigation Work Plan preparation, implementation, and oversight. Prepare remedial cost estimates and develop proposals for implementation. Required Skills Excellence and efficiency in writing, communication, data analysis, professional judgment, and knowledge of scientific principles. Strong sense of responsibility and work ethic. Quality assurance/quality control skills for technical, style, and consistency reviews. Ability to manage time and multiple project assignments. Working knowledge of health and safety practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Exposure to environmental consulting work in New York City is a plus. Ability to work in a project team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Qualifications S. or B.A. in environmental engineering, science, geology, or related field. 0 to 2 years of environmental consulting experience. 40‑hour HAZWOPER and 10‑hour Construction certification is a plus. Compensation Salary range: USD $64,396.80 – USD $80,000.00 per year, varying by experience, education, skill level, and location.
