Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN)

This position provides optimal patient care utilizing advanced knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for individualized patient outcomes throughout an entire episode of care, delivering comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families or caregivers.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the cardiac catheterization lab.
Coordinate care among other healthcare professionals as needed.
Utilize best practices to diagnose and treat health problems, considering the cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to each patient population.
Engage in continuous learning to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Provide patient and family education to promote understanding and self-management of health conditions.
Participate in maintaining safety standards and quality of care in accordance with established guidelines.

Schedule and Call Requirements

Shift: 4x10 hours, Monday through Friday.
Night call: 1 night per week.
Weekend call: 48-hour call every 5 weeks.
Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and the potential for additional shifts as needed by the department.

Qualifications

Current State of Nevada Registered Nurse license required.
State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst (POCA) license required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab is required.
Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
Required certifications: AHA, BLS, ACLS, and NRP.

Additional Information

Travelers may be required to float to meet the needs of the organization, up to their competency level.
This role may require picking up one additional shift during the scheduled period.
Mandatory attendance for shifts may be subject to changes based on patient census needs.
