Recreation Attendant

Columbia Sussex Management LLC is currently seeking an energetic Recreation Ambassador for The Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa, in Clearwater Beach, Florida. Basic Purpose Assists with maximization of guest satisfaction related to children's resort activities for specific purpose of increasing guest satisfaction and increasing revenues. Responsibilities Day to day interaction with children of guests, involving them in structured recreational activities. Development of Recreation Activities programs and calendar to include new and innovative ideas to enhance guest and member experiences and increase revenue opportunities. Hand out towels to guests. Bring in towels from bins. Inventory control and activity program development and evolution. Supportive Functions Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to the Security Department. Attend all mandatory meetings. Provide general public assistance, instruction and/or guidance for guests. Keep work area neat and organized. Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor. Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability Ability to provide excellent customer service. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities. Highly responsible and reliable. Ability to focus attention on guest needs. Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time in uncertain conditions. Ability to deal with differing opinions, cultural values, languages of young guests. Physical Aspects of Position Standing and walking throughout shift. Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30lbs. Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions, such as heat, cold, and/or rain. Grooming/Uniforms All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and be available to work weekends and holidays.
