About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Level I Trauma Center License: Valid State License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC Must-Have: - Level I Trauma experience - Charge experience preferred Description: Cross posting for 48 hours per week position in the Emergency Department. Patient ratios will be 1:4-5. Every other weekend and holiday requirements are mandatory. This position does not require floating to other units. On-call duties are not required. Candidates must be willing to work the specified schedule. The facility is a Trauma Level I teaching hospital with a total of 228 staffed beds. Charting will be done using a specified electronic medical record system. Required skills include central line care/management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and triage. Experience in starting and maintaining IVs is also required. The unit provides interdisciplinary support from various services including physical therapy and pharmacy. The patient population consists of adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. A daily census ranges from 129 to 160 patients. Additional information will be provided upon application.
