This role requires deep expertise in accreditation systems, conformity assessment, and sustainability-related validation and verification programs.The Manager of Accreditation will oversee accreditation processes for validation and verification bodies, including assuring completion of required assessments. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity, impartiality, and technical rigor of ANAB’s accreditation activities while supporting clients and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.This position is well-suited for a specialist with strong technical expertise, sound professional judgment, and a commitment to advancing credible environmental and sustainability programs.Key ResponsibilitiesManage accreditation activities for environmental and sustainability programs, including regulatory and voluntary schemesConduct assessments of conformity assessment bodies against relevant international standards and accreditation criteriaEnsure accreditation processes are conducted with integrity, impartiality, and technical rigorServe as a primary point of contact for clients, providing technical guidance and support throughout the accreditation processPlan, coordinate, and execute accreditation activities in accordance with established timelines and proceduresMaintain accurate, thorough, and compliant documentation of accreditation activities and outcomesMonitor and interpret applicable regulations, standards, and industry developments to ensure continued compliance and program relevanceSupport continuous improvement of accreditation processes and internal quality systemsCollaborate effectively with internal teams, external assessors, clients, and industry stakeholdersCore CompetenciesSuccessful candidates will demonstrate:Project and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple accreditation activities efficiently while meeting deadlines and maintaining strong client relationshipsRegulatory and Standards Expertise: Strong understanding of accreditation frameworks, conformity assessment standards, and applicable regulatory requirementsQuality Assurance and Integrity: Commitment to impartiality, accuracy, and adherence to accreditation principles and processesAnalytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to evaluate complex technical information and resolve accreditation-related challenges effectivelyAttention to Detail: Precision in reviewing technical documentation and assessing conformance with accreditation criteriaProfessionalism and Diplomacy: Ability to interact with clients and stakeholders with professionalism, tact, and sound judgmentProactiveness: Ability to self-motivate and work independentlyAdaptability: Ability to respond effectively to evolving standards, regulatory environments, and organizational needsDocumentation and Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical informationQualificationsIdeal candidates will possess:Willingness to travel and conduct assessments sometimes in remote areasBachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or related field)Minimum of 5 years of experience in conformity assessment, accreditation, validation and verification, certification, or quality assurance in relevant sectors such as agriculture, forestry, water, waste, energy, greenhouse gas, ESG, life cycle assessment, or environmental managementDemonstrated technical expertise in sustainability-related validation/verification programs, certification schemes, or accreditation systemsStrong working knowledge of sustainability frameworks, reporting standards, and industry trendsExperience managing projects and supporting clients in technical or accreditation environmentsFamiliarity with accreditation standards and the accredited conformity assessment landscapeAbility to lead projects and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teamsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), including excellent keyboarding proficiency and the ability to produce accurate, professional documentation efficiently.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsCommitment to professional integrity, continuous learning, and technical excellenceCompensation and BenefitsThe starting compensation range for this position is $76,800 to $119,000,depending on location, education, experience, and qualifications.ANAB offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including:403(b) retirement plan with employer matching contributionsGenerous paid time off (PTO)Medical, dental, and life insurance coverageAdditional optional benefitsANAB is an equal opportunity employer.
