Event Manager

The Role

The Event Manager will deliver best in-class event experiences for the firm’s associates, clients, and prospects. They will have a natural curiosity about the business strategy and leverage their skills to create and flawlessly implement programmatic experiences that support the objectives.

The candidate will be experienced in project management, including creating and handling budgets, creating timelines and workplans, leading planning meetings and collaborating with business partners to drive toward deliverables. We are looking for a good communicator who keeps collaborators advised. The candidate will be in command of complex event logistics including, but not limited to, sourcing and leading speakers and vendors, and creating dynamic production schedules.

The ideal candidate is skilled at producing both in-person and virtual experiences. They are comfortable with digital environments and have a consistent record of creating high quality virtual events applying various technology platforms.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years of related work experience
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Zoom Meeting and Zoom Video Webinar
• Experience with event registration systems and event mobile app platforms (Cvent, CrowdCompass preferred)
• Knowledge and experience with live & virtual event production including lighting, audio, video, and technical direction
• Experience creating well designed, yet concise presentation decks using PowerPoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including a command of proof reading
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to work independently under own direction and initiative
• Ability to travel within the U.S. and work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours

The Team

The Meetings and Events team collaborates with business partners on the planning, budgeting, and design of internal and client events. The team leads over 1,000 events a year with a focus on creating seamless and memorable experiences that support business and firm-wide objectives.

The hourly pay rate range for this position in Boston, MA or Smithfield, RI is $55-65 per hour. The hourly pay rate range for this position in Westlake, TX is $50-60 per hour.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
