Summary of Position: We areseekinga reliable and detail-oriented Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our production facility in the Bronx, in a safe, timely, and courteous manner. The Driver will play a key role in maintaining the high standards and reputation of Birley Bakery and Maxime's Club. Compensation and Benefits: $22/hour. The role of Driver: Assist the Pastry team with coordinating deliveries to multiple outlets. Receiving goods, and ensuring the quality and food safety meets the requirements. Ensure the proper handling of all food items in accordance with health and hygiene procedures. To prepare and pack the deliveries. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Must have valid New York State Driver’s License with no violations. Ability to be flexible with job demands and open-minded when being asked to complete tasks. Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary. Ability to operate with grace under pressure, independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work at varied hours/days, based on business needs and hours of operation, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. Ability to stand/sit for up to 8-10 hours a day. Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment. On occasion, may be required to lift and carry, push or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds; kneel, bend, ascend and descend stairs; reach and grab objects. *This position requires regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting as part of normal restaurant operations.
