Area Sales Representative

Position Summary Area Sales Representative – McAllen, Texas. The role is territory‑based and requires the candidate to live within the McAllen region. It involves building relationships with regional SMB businesses to promote Progressive Leasing’s lease‑to‑own product and technology. Responsibilities Sell Progressive Leasing’s product and value to our small‑to‑midsize retail partners so that they, in turn, market our product to their customers. Conduct quarterly business reviews with retail partners to demonstrate key performance metrics, integration capabilities, and available point‑of‑purchase marketing materials. Manage the sales pipeline within the assigned area, achieving company objectives through effective planning and follow‑up on retail partner needs. Collaborate with sales leadership, marketing, and product teams to expand the customer base and ensure partner needs are met. Identify, onboard, and negotiate contracts with new retail partners, including powering advocacy through in‑store training and one‑on‑one meetings. Resolve compliance cases by implementing and enforcing relevant policies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience). 3–5 years of experience in retail sales, field sales, account management, or sales training. 3–5 years of experience in cold calling, hunting, or prospecting B2C or B2B leads. Proven track record of exceeding quota and driving growth in a retail environment. Strong business acumen, exceptional organizational and time‑management skills, and superior interpersonal and communication abilities. Moderate‑level experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce. Experience training others, high initiative, and strong work ethic. Strategic thinking with the ability to develop detailed account‑growth plans. Refined presentation skills and comfort addressing large groups. Ability to analyze data to identify sales and growth opportunities. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be able to use a personal vehicle for local travel with mileage reimbursement and accommodate up to 30% overnight travel. Location and Travel The role is remote‑based but requires the use of a personal vehicle for local travel. Mileage reimbursement will be provided. The position involves daily/weekly local store visits and may require approximately 30% overnight travel. Equipment Job‑required equipment and services will be provided.
