Scientist I, Analytical Development - Protein Chemistry (Temporary)

Vir Biotechnology seeks a temporary analytical chemist to support characterization of therapeutic molecules across multiple modalities and clinical stages. The role involves hands-on analytical lab work, method development, and product characterization for proteins and oligonucleotides.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on analytical testing for process development and product characterization studies
- Support analytical methods development and optimization across various projects
- Conduct forced degradation, comparability, and structure-activity relationship studies
- Operate mass spectrometry facility and generate analytical reports
Requirements
- Experience with analytical characterization of proteins and/or oligonucleotides
- Proficiency in mass spectrometry instrumentation and data interpretation
- Knowledge of analytical method development and validation
- Hands-on lab experience in process or formulation development
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
