About This Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and accomplished Scientist with drug discovery experience in diseases with an inflammatory etiology to join our growing Immunology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immunology, cellular and molecular biology and/or related scientific field and contribute to the discovery and development of novel therapies targeting inflammatory and autoimmune disorders. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment at the nexus of basic research and therapeutic innovation to develop transformative therapies aimed at addressing unmet medical needs for patients who need it most.Key Responsibilities:Conceive, design and execute in vitro and in vivo studies to explore mechanisms underlying inflammatory and autoimmune diseasesIdentify and validate new drug targets, biomarkers, and pathways relevant to immune-mediated disordersGenerate data that supports lead optimization, biomarker discovery, and translational researchGenerate and interpret complex data sets and present findings internally and externally (e.g. meetings, conferences, publications)Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues in pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, protein engineering, and computational and translational sciences to drive target identification/validation, drug discovery, and developmentFoster a culture of scientific excellence and innovation by staying abreast of scientific advances and emerging technologies in immunology and inflammationWho You Are:You are passionate about advancing the field of immunology through innovative research and strategic collaborations. Candidates must be within commutable distance or able to self-relocate to be considered.Qualifications:PhD, MS, BS (PhD preferred) in Immunology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, or a related scientific field with 0-2+ years of industry experience, preferably in inflammatory and autoimmune disease drug discovery (MS with 4+ years experience, BS with 6+ years experience)Strong expertise in immune cell biology (innate and adaptive immunity), cell signaling, and immunological assay developmentHands-on experience with relevant techniques, including, biochemical and cellular assay development, tissue culture, multiparametric flow cytometry (e.g. 15+ colors), ELISA/MSD, RNA & protein analysis (e.g. RNA-seq/qPCR, Jess), CRISPRIsolation and culture of primary murine and human cells or patient-derived samplesExperience with disease models of inflammation and/or autoimmunity is a plusAbility to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in team settingsPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience in biotech/pharma drug discovery or translational researchExperience working with small-molecule and biologics drug discoveryExperience with multiomics analyses (e.g. genomic, transcriptomic, proteomics, etc.)Job Level: ProfessionalAdditional InformationThe base compensation range for this role is: -Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
