Biogen seeks an immunology scientist to design and execute research studies on inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The role involves target validation, biomarker discovery, and cross-functional collaboration to advance novel therapeutic candidates.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute in vitro and in vivo studies exploring inflammatory and autoimmune disease mechanisms
- Identify and validate drug targets, biomarkers, and immune-relevant pathways
- Generate data supporting lead optimization and translational research programs
- Present and interpret complex datasets at internal meetings, conferences, and publications
- Collaborate cross-functionally with pharmacology, chemistry, and computational sciences teams
Requirements
- PhD, MS, or BS in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 0-2+ years industry drug discovery experience, preferably in inflammatory/autoimmune diseases
- Expertise in immune cell biology, cell signaling, and immunological assay development
- Hands-on proficiency with flow cytometry, ELISA, RNA/protein analysis, and CRISPR techniques
- Experience isolating and culturing primary murine and human cells
- Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently and collaboratively
