The Mental Health Technician functions as a member of the treatment team and accepts responsibilities for specifically assigned duties, such as patient observation rounds, suicide risk observation and assisting with behavior modification programs. Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Prefer either a bachelor's degree or an associate degree
• At least one year of experience in the behavioral health field or healthcare setting OR
• One year of experience involving public contact which may have included providing care or guidance for children, elders or others; volunteer work in providing respite to caregivers; or leading youth groups
• Must exhibit quality communication skills with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire
• CPI certification within 30 days of hire
