Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU/PCU

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU/PCU with the ability to work night shifts. This position involves caring for patients in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH) setting, with duties that may include floating to the Medical-Surgical Unit (MSU) as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify patients' needs along with their significant others, providing education using appropriate modalities.
• Implement and maintain patient safety measures, such as side rails, restraints, and safe equipment usage.
• Demonstrate proficient knowledge in the operation of all equipment in the PCU, Telemetry, and Med-Surg areas.
• Follow restraint policies properly, evaluating and documenting accordingly.
• Implement infection control and isolation procedures, ensuring proper documentation.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and concise documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, and responses during the shift.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of physician orders and give comprehensive change-of-shift reports to oncoming staff.
• Effectively communicate with other departments and report critical lab values to physicians in a timely manner.
• Maintain and restock emergency carts, rooms, and general supplies as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Washington State or Multi-State.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in ICU/PCU settings.
• Certification in ACLS and BLS/BCLS is required.
• Willingness to float to Medical-Surgical Unit as needed.
