Community Residence Counselor - OMH Programs 4 part‑time shifts available: Glen Head: Fri/Sat 3‑11pm or Fri 3‑11pm / Sun 7am‑3pm Hempstead: Mon/Tues/Weds/Sat/Sun 5‑11pm East Hills: Tues/Thurs/Fri/Sun 5‑11pm Salary: $23.34/hour Charles Evans Center (CEC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center providing comprehensive medical, dental and mental health services. The center specializes in meeting the needs of adults and children with developmental disabilities as well as the underserved population. Our team‑based approach puts patients at the center of their care. Responsibilities Provide counseling, behavioral interventions, restorative services, assistance in negotiating community activities and crisis management services. Monitor, train and assist residents in all programs in household maintenance activities to ensure a clean, safe and homelike environment. Directly participate in household maintenance activities when required. Provide training, supervision and assistance to residents in daily activities including food purchases, recreational activities, and meal planning and personal care activities. Assist residents in developing meaningful service plan goals and providing supports to assist residents in achieving their goals. Conduct fire safety training activities. Document interactions with residents in accordance with agency policies and standards. Meet weekly, or as scheduled, with assigned primary residents for counseling and to establish and review service plan goals. Assist residents in procuring and maintaining financial entitlements. Monitor medications as required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Must have NY driver’s license with a clean driving record. Experience in a mental health related field preferred.
