Clinical Team Aide

Location: 5301 Vernon Ave S, Edina, MN 55436-2303 Job Summary Allina Health, a not‑for‑profit health system, seeks a Clinical Support Associate to assist clinical staff and patients in delivering timely and quality health care services. Key Responsibilities Supports and assists providers and clinical staff with administrative and select patient care tasks. Schedules appointments, corrects scheduling errors, edits appointment notes, and follows up on no‑shows. Greets patients, conducts virtual visit set‑up, verifies identification, and informs patients of wait time. Administers questionnaires and documents in the electronic medical record, enters or edits outside results, and prepares patient forms for provider signatures. Performs patient care tasks such as height, weight, vision and hearing checks, ECG, transports specimens to lab, draws blood, and performs waived laboratory testing as required. Prepares I‑Pads for interpreter use, escorts patients to other departments. Processes incoming mail, scans, copies, faxes, prints, and updates forms; answers internal phone calls; places office supply orders. Maintains clinical areas, cleans and re‑stocks exam rooms, performs regular expiration reviews, and maintains linen and instrument levels. Performs clinical safety support: daily crash cart checks, monitors and empties sharps containers, manages liquid nitrogen, conducts routine safety checks on fire extinguishers, safety lights, eye wash stations, oxygen tanks. Places work orders and Service Now tickets as needed and performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Must be 18 years of age. Meet at least one of the following competency requirements: high school diploma or equivalent, or relevant education/experience in healthcare, patient care, electronic medical records, or medical terminology. For sites with laboratory duties, phlebotomy experience is required. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, for positions utilizing i‑STAT testing. Experience in healthcare, patient care, electronic medical records, or medical terminology. Phlebotomy experience (for sites where laboratory duties are performed). Licenses / Certifications Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, or from the American Red Cross, or Allina in‑house BLS training within 30 days of hire. Physical Demands Medium physical demands: lift up to 32 lbs occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy) and up to 25 lbs frequently. Compensation Pay range: $18.49 to $25.19 per hour, based on experience, education, and applicable differentials.
