HealthYes Staffing Network is recruiting a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist for a permanent, hospital-employed opportunity in the Summit, Arkansas, area of the Ozarks.

This position offers a $755,000 base salary, additional production-based earning potential, an established gastroenterology team, advanced endoscopy resources, and the opportunity to practice in one of the most scenic communities in the Ozarks.

Gastroenterology Program

The incoming physician will join two gastroenterologists with more than 25 years of experience each. Both physicians perform ERCP and are available to mentor a physician interested in developing or expanding advanced procedural skills.

The established gastroenterology service provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for conditions involving the upper and lower gastrointestinal tracts, liver, gallbladder, biliary system, and pancreas.

Available services include:

• Upper endoscopy
• Colonoscopy
• ERCP
• Endoscopic ultrasound
• Interventional endoscopy
• Esophageal manometry
• Gastrointestinal bleeding management
• Inflammatory bowel disease care
• Hepatology services
• Gastrointestinal cancer evaluation
• Pancreatic and biliary care

Individual procedural responsibilities will depend on training, experience, competency, and clinical privileges.

Schedule and Call

• Full-time employed schedule
• Ten days of call per month
• Call schedule includes one weekend per month
• Clinic, procedure, inpatient, and call responsibilities are coordinated within the gastroenterology team

Complete clinic hours, procedure-block allocation, inpatient rounding expectations, and call-response requirements will be reviewed during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions
• Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology consultations
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
• Conduct colon-cancer screening and surveillance
• Diagnose and manage inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, reflux disease, and pancreaticobiliary conditions
• Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, advanced practice providers, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, and primary care physicians
• Maintain complete and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in shared call coverage
• Support quality, safety, and performance-improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency
• Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Active Arkansas medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• Eligibility for applicable medical-staff appointment and clinical privileges
• Strong endoscopic, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within an established multidisciplinary program
• ERCP experience is welcomed but not required; mentorship is available
