Float Personal Banker 1- Aptos

Provide excellent customer care to customers regarding daily transactions, addressing inquiries, and problem resolution in accordance with Fifth Third Bank policies. Refer customers to appropriate business partners for products and services uncovered during business interactions. This role will be expected to travel to various Financial Centers within the market and is responsible for risk management by following policies and procedures while ensuring a positive customer experience. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Promote excellent customer experience by consistently providing best-in-class customer satisfaction and demonstrating a friendly, can‑do attitude. Build rapport with the customer base and possess knowledge of account ownership. Answer customer questions confidently and find solutions to customer issues. Respond promptly to correspondence and resolve problems in a timely manner. Maintain customer confidentiality and trust. Adhere to the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies. Perform daily office responsibilities with the platform team to maintain efficient operation. Keep an accurate balancing record, identify and correct outages, and enlist help as needed. Stay current on bank policies and financial center procedures. Handle consumer and business customer problems professionally, escalating complex issues to the Lead Customer Service Representative or other leadership when necessary. Make sound judgment decisions within established guidelines. Consistently meet or exceed sales referral quotas set by management. Participate in daily huddles, sales meetings, and staff meetings. Maintain a knowledgeable understanding of the complete line of retail products and services, and seek further development as needed. Initiate conversations to uncover customer needs and refer customers for the selling and cross‑selling of bank products and services. Use appropriate tools to track referrals to business partners. Review tools and dashboards daily for referral progress and ensure proper disposition of referrals. Continuously increase knowledge and skills through self‑motivation, formal education, seminars, and in‑house training. Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required High school diploma or GED. Ability to perform advanced math functions for cash handling. Professional image and ability to present confidently to the public. Strong interpersonal skills and initiative in initiating dialogue. Good reading and writing skills for oral and written communication. In‑depth knowledge of retail policies and procedures, typically acquired with at least 2 years of CSR experience. Sound judgment in decision‑making and diplomacy for problem resolution. Team‑player ability to interact positively with co‑workers and management. Flexibility in scheduling. SAFE Act registration via the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at the time of employment. Working Conditions Normal office environment. Prolonged computer screen time. Travel required.
