Sr Director, Supply Chain

Gilead Sciences seeks a Senior Director of Digital Technology for Global Supply Chain to lead digital transformation strategy, oversee implementation of emerging technologies including AI, and drive data-driven operational improvements across the organization's supply chain functions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine Global Supply Chain digital enablement roadmap aligned to organizational priorities and enterprise platforms
- Lead business case development and ROI analysis for digital investments, communicating trade-offs to leadership
- Champion AI and data science applications to transform supply chain processes and ways of working
- Drive digital pilots and implementations in partnership with IT, Quality, Manufacturing, and external technology vendors
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists, fostering collaborative and inclusive work environment
Requirements
- PhD or MS with 10+ years relevant experience, or BS with 12+ years in supply chain, digital transformation, or data science
- Demonstrated experience designing, selecting, and implementing digital tools such as SAP, planning systems, and AI solutions
- Proven success leading enterprise digital initiatives from strategy through full implementation
- Strong data acumen and AI fluency with experience deploying custom AI and digital solutions
- Comprehensive understanding of biopharmaceutical industry, R&D, product commercialization, and regulatory frameworks
- Experience building and managing high-performing, multidisciplinary teams across functions
- Knowledge of data governance, systems integration, metadata management, and structured content preferred
