Make a difference every day working as a Special Education Teacher and Behavior Specialist on a contract basis! This fulfilling position is located near beautiful Eden Prairie, MN, and calls for a passionate educator dedicated to helping every student reach their potential.
Your expertise will be valued in delivering individualized support and creating a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment. By combining your knowledge as a Special Education Teacher with your skills as a Behavior Specialist, you'll play a central role in fostering learning and positive behaviors, working closely with students, staff, and families.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Special Education Teacher license required
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Background or certification as a Behavior Specialist is highly valued
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and behavioral support tailored to individual students
- Design and adapt lesson plans aligning with IEP objectives
- Monitor progress and track student achievement and behavioral milestones
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Model and reinforce positive behavioral interventions
- Maintain a safe, nurturing atmosphere where all students can thrive
