This remote leadership role offers the opportunity to own the technical direction of complex software delivery initiatives, from architecture design through successful implementation. The Lead Solutions Architect will serve as the technical authority across automation, full-stack development, and cloud-based solutions, ensuring technology aligns with mission goals and business objectives. This role combines hands-on technical expertise, strategic thinking, and client engagement to deliver scalable and secure solutions. You will guide engineering teams, shape technical decisions, and translate complex requirements into effective architectures. Accountabilities:

The Lead Solutions Architect will provide end-to-end technical ownership for solution design and delivery, guiding engineering teams and ensuring that technology initiatives meet performance, scalability, security, and client objectives.

• Lead solution architecture and technical strategy across automation, full-stack development, and cloud-based application initiatives.
• Provide architectural guidance for Python-based automation, data workflows, and full-stack applications using technologies such as React and Spring Boot.
• Translate complex client requirements into scalable technical designs, implementation plans, and actionable engineering priorities.
• Facilitate solution design discussions and collaborate with engineering teams to define system architectures and automated processes.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client stakeholders, presenting solutions and guiding technical decision-making.
• Evaluate engineering approaches, establish best practices, and ensure solutions are secure, maintainable, and scalable.
• Oversee technical workstreams, manage delivery priorities, identify risks, and resolve escalated challenges.
• Collaborate with backend, frontend, data, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful execution.
• Drive technical quality throughout the delivery lifecycle, including architecture reviews, implementation oversight, and solution validation.
• Support cloud-based solution development and deployment strategies across platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Identify opportunities to improve development processes, automation capabilities, and overall technical efficiency.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced technical leader with a strong background in software engineering, architecture, and client-facing technology delivery. You should be comfortable leading teams, making strategic technical decisions, and delivering complex solutions in highly regulated or mission-focused environments.

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, technical delivery, solution architecture, or a related discipline.
• Strong technical expertise in Python-based scripting, automation, and/or full-stack application development.
• Experience with modern frontend and backend technologies such as React, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks.
• Proven experience designing and delivering scalable cloud-based solutions using platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams, including backend, frontend, and data-focused teams.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, software development practices, and technical solution design.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to clients, executives, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance technical trade-offs and business priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to successfully complete a client-required background investigation.
• Security clearance experience is preferred, including DHS clearance with CBP/ICE or DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Experience building data pipelines, automation workflows, or ETL solutions is a plus.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and cloud deployment processes is preferred.
• Experience supporting federal programs, regulated environments, product ownership, or technical product management is beneficial.
