GEO/AEO Strategist

Position Overview

We are seeking a GEO/AEO Strategist to increase brand visibility and discoverability across traditional search engines, AI-powered answer engines, generative AI platforms, and ecommerce channels.

This role will develop and execute strategies that improve how brands and products are discovered, understood, and recommended through AI-driven search. The ideal candidate combines SEO and technical expertise with content strategy, copywriting, and an understanding of emerging AI search technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute GEO, AEO, and LLMO strategies to improve brand visibility, authority, and citations across AI-powered search platforms.
• Optimize website and ecommerce content, including product pages, category pages, FAQs, and educational resources.
• Improve content structure, schema markup, entity signals, and technical SEO to enhance AI comprehension and search performance.
• Conduct keyword, search intent, and competitor research to identify content and optimization opportunities.
• Partner with marketing, ecommerce, and external agency teams to implement optimization strategies.
• Monitor AI search trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and adapt strategies.
• Track performance through AI visibility, citations, organic traffic, rankings, and share of voice.
• Analyze results using GA4, Google Search Console, and third-party SEO/AI tools, providing actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or web development, including 2–3+ years of hands-on GEO, AEO, or LLMO experience.
• Strong understanding of AI-powered search, generative search behavior, SEO best practices, and structured content optimization.
• Experience optimizing website and ecommerce content for search visibility and AI discoverability.
• Strong copywriting, editing, and content development skills.
• Familiarity with tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Profound, Scrunch, GA4, and Google Search Console.
• Knowledge of JSON-LD, schema markup, HTML, CSS, and XML.
• Experience with WordPress and ecommerce marketplaces such as Amazon preferred.
• Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Additional Preferred Experience

• CPG, retail, or ecommerce industry experience.
• Experience with omnichannel product discovery and marketplace optimization.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and basic image optimization.
