Computer Technician

Computer Technician Location: Stuart, FL Duration: 12 Months Shift: 8:30 AM - 3 PM Total Hours: 40 hours (Mon-Fri) Introduction The IT Service Desk provides essential support for information technologies at Liberator Medical Supply, Inc. It offers direct support to Liberator's staff via phone, e‑mail, chat, and in person. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service: Service Desk staff are responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction throughout problem resolution. Staff track detailed information in an incident management system, document diagnostic steps, and communicate with customers as they troubleshoot the reported problem. Investigation and Knowledge Base: Staff investigate and use a knowledge base to find the correct solution, follow‑up with customers to ensure a good experience, and communicate effectively with members at all levels. Service Maintenance: Keeping support services running smoothly and efficiently is a priority; staff perform other office work as necessary from time to time. Computing Information and Referral: Staff provide general information about computing services, access to services provided by IT and other departments, and ensure adherence to company policies on responsible use. They recognize when questions exceed the scope of the Service Desk and make accurate referrals. Problem Resolution: Staff work directly with customers to resolve problems accessing networked services, diagnosing needs, researching solutions, and confirming customers can access required services or applications. Specialization: Staff work in teams that specialize in Windows computing. Training: Staff acquire and maintain knowledge of a wide range of applications and services, attending regular meetings and training activities to stay current. Ancillary Duties and Responsibilities: Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or directed. Reporting Relationship Responsibilities: No supervisory responsibilities; provide work direction only. Minimum Requirements or Qualifications (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High School Diploma or equivalent; Information Technology training or degree in related field and/or 1 year of IT work experience. Past work experience in a high-traffic customer service setting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for end-user technical support. Strong customer service experience. Excellent phone etiquette. Strong problem-solving and research skills. Experience using Microsoft applications and cloud services. Functional knowledge of Windows computing. Physical Demands The employee is frequently required to reach, kneel, bend, stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee occasionally must stand and lift or move up to 45 lbs. Work Environment The employee works in a temperature-controlled office environment under normal office conditions.
