Fund Accountant

A leading alternative investment manager is seeking a Fund Accounting Associate to join its growing Business Development Company (BDC) finance team. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with senior leadership in a lean, high-impact environment following significant recent institutional capital growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support accounting, financial reporting, and operational processes for a publicly registered BDC
• Assist with quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Qs, 10-Ks) and GAAP financial reporting
• Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, transfer agents, and other third-party service providers
• Maintain shadow books and reconcile activity with external fund administrators
• Support SOX controls, compliance monitoring, and board reporting
• Assist with liquidity tracking, cash management, investor reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis
• Partner with operations, investor relations, and broader finance teams on various strategic initiatives

Qualifications:

• 3-4 years of experience in public accounting or fund accounting
• Big 4 Financial Services audit experience strongly preferred
• Active CPA required
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, and investment products

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $120,000 - $130,000
• Target Bonus: 25%
