Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialized teaching opportunity is available for an educator skilled in working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, utilizing telehealth methods. This contract position is based in Glendale, AZ, offering a chance to support learners through innovative, remote teaching techniques.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering tailored instruction and support to students with hearing impairments via telehealth platforms
- Collaborating with families, therapists, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies to meet their evolving needs
- Utilizing assistive technology and communication tools to enhance accessibility and engagement in a virtual setting
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification or licensure in education for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
