The PGYII resident pharmacist, a licensed professional who supports directors, managers, pharmacy staff, and preceptors in the operational aspects of a department or unit on a round-the-clock basis during training. Alongside rotation-specific tasks, they actively strive to ensure the optimal delivery of pharmaceutical care and services, offering education to peers and other healthcare team members. They also contribute to performance improvement initiatives, either through direct involvement or occasional participation in improvement teams. This role involves supervising, assigning work, coaching, training, and evaluating the performance of PGYI residents and students. Effective collaboration with peers, subordinates, and supervisors is expected of individuals in this position. As a successful candidate, you will:

• Maintains current knowledge, skills and competencies through involvement in professional continuing education activities.

Your qualifications should include: PharmD degree PGYI Residency BLS (through American Heart Association) or receive one with 9 months of hire date. Current CA Pharmacy License or obtain within 3 months after start date; extension to a total of 6 months may be granted upon approval of Program Director and Human Resources.
