Groundsperson

Accokeek Arborist is looking for a dependable, hardworking Groundsperson to join our tree-care team. This is a part-time, hands-on position working alongside our tree climbers and crew members to safely and efficiently complete residential and commercial tree-care projects. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, physical work, and being part of a professional team. Previous tree-care experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate. Responsibilities Assist tree climbers and crew members with daily tree-care operations. Feed brush and limbs into the wood chipper safely and efficiently. Drag, stack, and organize branches, logs, and other debris. Assist with tree pruning, removals, trimming, and storm cleanup. Set up and maintain safe work zones around job sites. Assist with ropes and ground-based rigging as directed. Load and unload equipment, tools, and materials. Keep work trucks, equipment, and job sites clean and organized. Follow all company safety procedures. Provide professional and courteous service to customers. Perform other ground-crew duties as needed. Qualifications Reliable and punctual. Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Comfortable performing physically demanding work. Able to lift, carry, drag, and move branches and other materials. Willing to learn professional tree-care techniques and safety procedures. Able to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team. Previous landscaping, tree-care, construction, or outdoor labor experience is a plus. Valid driver's license is preferred.
