Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered NurseVariable start times with shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, guaranteeing 36 hours per week.Job DescriptionThe PACU Registered Nurse is responsible for the monitoring and care of patients recovering from anesthesia. This role involves comprehensive patient assessments, effective airway management, pain and symptom management, and timely documentation and communication with the healthcare team.ResponsibilitiesContinuously monitor vital signs including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and temperature.Ensure patent airway and adequate respiratory function, with quick intervention for any respiratory distress.Administer medications, such as painkillers and anti-nausea drugs, to manage post-operative symptoms.Assess surgical sites for bleeding or complications and perform necessary physical assessments.Maintain detailed patient records and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureMinimum of 2 years of experience in the PACU is required.Current BLS certification (AHA).Active RN license in the state of Michigan.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
