For more information on the Department of Justice and the United States Attorneys' Offices, visit To qualify at the GS-12 level, you must possess: GS-12: To be eligible at the GS-12 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as defined below. Specialized experience is defined as experience conducting complex investigations and/or financial examinations related to civil actions; knowledge of public healthcare programs, the statutory and regulatory provisions governing such programs, and/or methods to identify fraud, waste, and abuse within such programs; selecting interviewees and conducting interviews of witnesses; performing quantitative, qualitative or other analysis of relevant facts; coordinating investigatory activities with, and otherwise liaising with, other federal or state agencies; preparing investigative opinions that require use of considerable judgement and discretion; conducting case investigations independently, as a lead investigator or as a team member; or reviewing, analyzing, organizing, and summarizing voluminous and complex documents and data. Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP): The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
