Audiology Assistant - Part-time
The purpose of an assistant is to support the audiologist in performing routine duties. The assistant performs tasks that are prescribed, directed and supervised by a licensed educational audiologist. The audiologist will provide the necessary training. This support enables the educational audiologist to focus on more complex responsibilities related to student care. Part-time - 13-20 hours per week, 2-3 days per week.
Job Summary:
- Daily checks and routine maintenance of hearing screening and evaluation equipment
- Daily listening checks for personal hearing instruments and remote microphone hearing assistance technology
- Routine infection control duties
- Assist audiologist with hearing screenings (example play audiometry)
- Support educational audiologist with audiological assessments
- Support educational audiologist with habilitation services
- Data management
- Administrative support functions including scheduling, packaging and mailing orders and devices
- Assist with documentation and equipment inventory
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School Diploma required. Experience working with children is preferred. Physical/Emotional Requirements Requires sitting, standing, lifting, bending, and walking. Demonstrate high level of flexibility, positive attitude, patience, sense of humor, perseverance, tenacity and concentration
Rate $18.20/hour. Eligible for paid time off benefits.
