In this non-seasonal role, you’ll work 40 hours per week with the flexibility to cover days, nights, weekends, and holidays while delivering high-quality, life-saving care to the community. Compensation ranges from $25.21 to $27.99 per hour based on experience, with a sign‑on bonus of up to $6,000 and relocation reimbursement up to $2,500 for eligible candidates. Team members are also eligible for up to $3,000 annually in performance incentives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide basic and advanced life support based on medical and trauma protocols, including interpreting EKGs, defibrillation, administering medications (including controlled substances), endotracheal intubation, cricothyrotomy, chest decompression, and other life‑saving measures as indicated through the Agency’s Medical Protocol. Respond to instructions from the emergency medical dispatcher and drive a specially equipped emergency vehicle to specified locations. Work assigned schedule and extended hours/overtime when necessary to ensure 24/7 emergency coverage for the community; work effectively for extended periods without a regular or guaranteed meal or break periods. Support the directives of PCC and oversee actions of multiple first responders reporting on the scene with Medic. Manage entrapment scenes and triage multiple injury situations by directing the activities of rescue squads, first responders, and medical personnel; determine the need for police response to assure safety of patients and working personnel. Ensure all paperwork is complete and confirm it is given to the direct report at patient hand‑off while adhering to HIPAA compliance at the designated medical facility. Respond to instructions of emergency medical dispatcher; drive specially equipped emergency vehicle to designated locations, safely and effectively operate any emergency vehicle upon request and respond within established response times. Support the direction on scene of all assigned emergencies as Crew Chief, making judgments to control the situation as directed, assessing the condition of patients and initiating medical procedures in accordance with protocols and procedures. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EMT‑Paramedic certification; current Paramedic certification required. Valid Driver’s License. Completion of FEMA classes IS‑100, IS‑200, IS‑700, and IS‑800. Maintain insurability with Agency’s insurance carrier; compliance with annual respiratory fit testing; proficiency with Agency approved driving course; maintain all mandatory con‑ed/in‑service training. Physically capable of standing, walking, sitting, lifting and/or moving more than 100 pounds; able to operate a commercial vehicle in high‑stress environments. Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays; able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Must be able to adapt to changes without compromise and become proficient quickly; must be alert at all times and pay close attention to details; must communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
