Distribution Center Team Lead

Responsible for supporting the warehouse manager and supervisors and executing normal warehouse operations including order pulling, replenishment, staging, shipping/receiving, and inventory control in a timely and cost‑effective manner. Responsibilities Pick and pack orders in a timely manner. Review work at the end of day to ensure completion. Receive and count stock items, record data in computer. Examine and inspect stock for defects as necessary. Support and execute inventory control processes. Support basic ERP troubleshooting with handheld scanners and computer (Microsoft AX). Support maintenance of facilities and equipment, utilizing outside expertise as needed. Perform general housekeeping duties. Manage facility and activities when supervisor/manager is off‑site. Continuously seek improvements and exercise leadership in organizing warehouse efforts to achieve objectives. Conduct cycle counts and annual physical inventories, striving to maintain finished goods accuracy. Perform audits and ensure all quality, safety, and environmental standards are fulfilled. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise hourly employees and temporary employees. Qualifications 3+ years’ experience in warehousing or manufacturing for a high‑volume, multi‑product manufacturer. High School Diploma or equivalent. Exposure to ERP systems requiring handheld picking (Microsoft AX/SAP preferred). Experience driving heavy equipment (LPG sit‑downs, reach lifts, pallet riders). Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Ability to read, count accurately, perform simple math (add, subtract, divide, multiply), and write legibly. Must pass a basic math pre‑employment test. Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods and/or standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Able to exert up to 100lb. of force occasionally and/or up to 50lb. frequently, and/or up to 20lb. constantly to move objects. Possess effective communication skills and remain calm and focused under stressful situations. Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Ability to make good decisions based on information at hand. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, positive attitude, and results‑driven mindset. Ability to manage change while creating a positive environment. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The individual must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time, use a computer keyboard and screen for extended periods, maneuver and work in tight, confined, or hard‑to‑reach places, lift and move up to 50lb. periodically, and may be required to work irregular or extended hours on short notice.
