POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Cone Debone Supervisor - Night Shift your roles and responsibilities will include:


The Cone Debone Supervisor is responsible for leading daily production operations in a high-volume poultry processing environment. The role focuses on ensuring production goals are met while maintaining food safety, product quality, operational efficiency, and workforce productivity. This is a hands-on frontline leadership position managing hourly production associates.


Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership (40%)

• Supervise daily production activities and ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain proper staffing levels and workflow throughout the shift.
• Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing/Production Practices.
• Monitor production performance and resolve operational issues in real time.

Quality & Food Safety Oversight (30%)

• Ensure compliance with HACCP, USDA regulations, sanitation standards, and food safety requirements.
• Monitor product quality, packaging standards, and process controls.
• Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support pre-operational inspections and regulatory compliance activities.

Performance Management (20%)

• Drive departmental KPIs including:
  • BMPH (Birds/Breasts per Man Hour)
  • Cost per Pound
  • PPMH (Pounds per Man Hour)
  • A Grade Percentage
• Analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Improve productivity, efficiency, and labor utilization.

People Leadership & Administration (10%)

• Lead, coach, motivate, and develop hourly associates.
• Address attendance, performance, and disciplinary issues.
• Ensure compliance with company HR and safety policies.
• Manage employee timekeeping and scheduling through systems such as Kronos and Oracle HCM.
• Ensure required training is completed on time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Cone Debone Supervisor who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Cone Debone Supervisor would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work in a cold, wet manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work night shift.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Poultry processing experience.
• Meat processing experience.
• Food manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of HACCP, USDA regulations, sanitation standards, and pre-op inspections.
• Experience with Kronos and Oracle HCM.
