RN - ER

Registered Nurse ER (Adult)Shift hours: 7 PM - 7 AM and alternate 3 PM - 3 AM. This position is for a duration of 13 weeks with a schedule of 2 weeks on evenings and 2 weeks on nights. Every other weekend is required. Must be available to work every other holiday as needed.Experience with EPIC charting system is required.The facility may cancel (call off) up to three shifts during the contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours.Must have an active New York Single State RN license (not compact). BLS, ACLS, and valid NIHSS certifications are required for submission.IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs; IV vasopressors. CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management. Experience with CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI. Cardiac monitoring with the ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Emergency care for adult/pediatric patients, including gunshot wounds and ortho trauma. Understanding of isolation precautions and ability to perform triage.Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:5 for adults and geriatrics with a variety of emergency diagnoses. Familiarity with special equipment such as Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling tools is necessary. Floating within skill set will be required.
