Advanced Fryer Solutions (AFS) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Recruiting Coordinator to support our talent acquisition efforts. This remote, part-time position is ideal for a recent graduate, early-career HR professional, recruiting coordinator, or someone looking to gain practical recruiting experience while working with a growing organization.

The Recruiting Coordinator will manage the front end of the hiring process, including candidate sourcing support, application reviews, phone screenings, interview coordination, background screening administration, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) requests.

Qualified candidates will be presented to the Director of Human Resources for final consideration.

Position Details

• Job Title: Recruiting Coordinator
• Location: Remote
• Employment Type: Part-Time
• Schedule: 15-20 hours per week
• Compensation: $20-$24 per hour
• Work Hours: M-F: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM; M-F: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM;
• Preferred schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST. Some flexibility may be available based on business needs and candidate availability.

Candidate Screening & Recruiting Support

• Review resumes and employment applications for open positions.
• Conduct initial phone screenings with applicants.
• Evaluate candidates' qualifications, work history, communication skills, and overall fit.
• Document interview notes and candidate assessments.
• Maintain timely communication with applicants throughout the recruiting process.
• Assist with sourcing candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, and other recruiting channels.

Interview Coordination

• Schedule interviews between qualified candidates and hiring managers.
• Coordinate interview logistics and confirm candidate availability.
• Maintain organized hiring records and interview schedules.

Pre-Employment Screening Administration

• Initiate and monitor pre-employment background checks.
• Request and review Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) for positions requiring driving responsibilities.
• Ensure all required screening documentation is completed and received.
• Maintain confidentiality of candidate information and screening results.
• Present qualified and screened candidates to the Director of Human Resources for further review and final interviews.

Administrative Support

• Update and maintain applicant tracking systems and recruiting records.
• Prepare candidate status reports and recruiting updates as needed.
• Support continuous improvement of recruiting processes and candidate experience.

Requirements:

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams); experience with Paylocity or other HRIS/applicant tracking systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
• Must reside in and work within the Central Time Zone (CT) or Eastern Time Zone (ET/EST) to be considered.

Preferred

• Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, HR, customer service, administrative support, or sales.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and online recruiting platforms.
• Experience conducting phone interviews or candidate screenings.
