Advanced EMT | Emergency Medical Technician

General Summary

As an Advanced EMT, you will support paramedics by performing critical interventions such as King Airway insertion, C-PAP, oral/nasal airway management, and Autovent use. You will also apply splinting techniques, spinal motion restriction, and coordinate patient care with other emergency responders and healthcare professionals. Effective communication and accurate documentation are essential, as is adherence to infection control and safe patient handling procedures.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an approved state EMT program is mandatory.

Experience

• One year of EMT experience preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Current state EMT license required.
• BLS and PHTLS certifications required; PHTLS and Class E driver's license must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., perform physical activities such as walking, standing, turning, and driving for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in high-stress, potentially hostile environments with exposure to infectious diseases.
