Chief Engineer

Our client, a leading facility management organization, is seeking a Chief Engineer to join their team. As a Chief Engineer, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting building maintenance and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Chief Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Pay rate: $42-45/hr

What's the Job?

• Oversee the operational management and daily leadership of the engineering team, ensuring safety, efficiency, and effectiveness in machinery and system operations.

• Manage building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.

• Implement and oversee maintenance programs, inspections, and reliability-based strategies to maximize equipment uptime and asset value.

• Supervise and develop engineering staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain all infrastructure documentation and regulatory records.

What's Needed?

• Associate Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.

• 7+ years of facility-related work experience, including supervisory and leadership roles.

• Knowledge of maintenance processes, construction planning, and execution.

• Experience with HVAC, fluid handling, electrical systems, and mechanical systems engineering.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CMMS systems, and excellent communication skills.
