Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A per diem Retail Pharmacist opportunity is available in Lathrop, CA, with a start date on 10/5. The initial shift runs from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. This role is ideal for a pharmacist seeking flexible schedule options while applying their expertise in a fast-paced retail setting.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions processed through the pharmacy system
- Review drug utilization reviews (DURs) performed by the system to ensure safety and compliance
- Collaborate with pharmacy clerks who assist with system operations to maintain workflow efficiency
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
Qualifications:
- Valid California pharmacist license
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a pharmacist, preferably in a retail environment
- Familiarity with pharmacy systems such as NRx and QS/1 is an advantage
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills to coordinate with pharmacy staff and customers
