Location: US:CA:Oakland | Security & Transportation | Part Time, Hourly, < 35.99 hours a week

Pay Range: $24.50 - $25.50 USD per hour

St. Paul's Towers

Provides security services for residents and employees of the organization. Protects from and responds to fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing the following duties:

• Security Officer I - Provides quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction
• Patrols, periodically, outside grounds of campus and lobbies, corridors and public rooms, access points of the facility to ensure safety and security of residents and staff
• Responds to fire alarms, emergency call switch activation and other emergencies
• Graciously warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and devises, reports or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Investigaates and completes resident loss reports and incident reports, gives copies to supervisor and maintains a file on them
• Keeps accurate log of shift activities
• Occasionally performs emergency janitorial duties and sets thermostatic controls to maintain specified temperature in buildings or cold storage rooms
• Familiar with all disaster, fire and other emergency procedures as outlined in facility disaster plan
• Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner Wears PPE/safety equipment as required for the job Reports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor - Follows department safety standards, practice body mechanic techniques and participate in campus-wide safety programs

Competencies and skills: Essential: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Credentials: Nonessential: Security Guard Card

Education with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: High School diploma or GED

Experience with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: 6 Months security experience
