Area Manager

Global Cleaning Services is seeking a dependable and motivated Area Manager to oversee cleaning operations across multiple facilities throughout Virginia Beach and the Hampton Roads area.

This position is responsible for managing employees, maintaining quality standards, conducting inspections, supporting client relationships, and ensuring facilities are cleaned according to company expectations.

Schedule:

• Full-time position
• Evening and weekend availability required as needed
• Local travel between assigned facilities required

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations across multiple locations
• Supervise Site Supervisors and cleaning staff
• Conduct facility inspections and maintain quality standards
• Train, coach, and develop employees
• Monitor attendance, staffing levels, and employee performance
• Address employee concerns and enforce company policies
• Manage scheduling and staffing coverage
• Maintain positive client relationships and address service concerns
• Track inventory and operational needs
• Complete required reports and documentation
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and employee retention efforts

Qualifications:

• Previous management, supervisory, operations, or janitorial experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple locations and priorities
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Proficiency with smartphones, email, and basic computer applications
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between assigned locations
