CSMC makes complex rotating jet engine parts for military and commercial applications.What You Will Do:With specific process ownership, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will provide direct troubleshooting support to the manufacturing shop floor and drive improvement across those specific manufacturing processes. Processes include conventional machining (Milling, Turning, Drilling, etc.) and Special Manufacturing processes (Surface Treatment, Coatings, Welding, etc.)Identify & implement process optimization & process control methods to eliminate quality turn backs/escapes and reduce overall product costs through the specific process.Interact with product designers, tool designers, quality assurance, systems designers, and other stakeholders is required to improve first pass yield through manufacturing processesPerform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming products for responsible processes using statistical analysis tools and other methods as necessaryDrive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities using MRL tools such as Process Control Plans and PFMEAThe discipline and follow-through to fully document problem statements, observations, conclusions, calculations and recommendations.Support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives, integrated with other continuous improvement activities and CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) initiatives.Schedule and facilitate periodic project reviews and ensure validation. Use effective scorecards and metrics to ensure progress.Lead projects critical to improve manufacturing process capability & quality performance through the assigned processes undefinedQualifications You Must Have:Bachelor's Degree in engineering and 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, shop floor or similar environment OR a Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, quality, shop floor or similar environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office ProductsExperience managing multiple projects with competing priorities in a constantly fluctuating work environmentExperience reading and interpreting complex blueprintsExperience in a Manufacturing Shop EnvironmentQualifications We Prefer:Six Sigma project leadership/management/coaching experienceExperience in project management tools like MS ProjectsPrevious experience with PW software tools like Solumina, and SAPExperience in using UG/NX, and Team Center software suitesExperience in using Minitab and other statistical software for analysisExperience with working on Rotating Gas Turbine PartsExperience in Conventional Manufacturing processesPlease ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
