We have an exciting opportunity to join Warwick Hotels and Resorts as a Director of Human Resources at our Warwick Melrose - Dallas location. As Director of Human Resources, you will be an important part of the leadership team that strives to ensure hospitality is provided to not just our guests, but also our associates.

The ideal candidate for Director of Human Resources will have general experience in all areas of Human Resources. Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

• Demonstrate and promote the best possible experience for our guests and employees.
• Process payroll and help department heads and managers monitor and review timecards.
• Responsible for all human resource related functions and assisting managers to ensure compliance with the company's standards, policies, and procedures.
• Successfully design and implement recruiting strategies to ensure our hotel stays staffed with the adequate number of trained team members necessary for business volume.
• Act as the main point of contact for the recruiting and hiring process. Conduct first interviews and screen candidates.
• Completes onboarding paperwork and new hire orientation.
• Work with Department Managers to hire qualified applicants and train employees in accordance with company standards.
• Inspect and document coaching and counseling records with department heads and managers to ensure full documentation and organization is compliant and protects liability.
• Ensure adherence with organization's policies regarding such functions as interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Thorough knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations.
• Take action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of team members, hotel guests and property. Respond swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situations.

This position will report to the General Manager and is a member of the Executive team. Generally a Monday-Friday day shift position, but schedule is based on business demands and needs.

Qualifications:

• Three or more years Human Resources Management experience, preferably within a hospitality environment.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
• Payroll system and report running experience. Strong preference for those familiar with and trained in ADP Workforce Now
• Possess excellent presentation, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer literacy to include, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to comprehend, read, write and speak English fluently
