Operations Associate

THE ROLE: OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Operations Associate to support internal and client-facing workflows. This role is execution-focused. You will help maintain organized systems, coordinate tasks across teams, and ensure processes run smoothly. It is well-suited for someone early in their operations career who is comfortable following structured processes and working in a fast-paced startup environment.

This is a remote contract role with flexible hours (20–40 hours/week).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Operations Support

• Assist with client onboarding and offboarding processes using established checklists
• Track tasks, deadlines, and deliverables across engagements
• Maintain accurate records in shared tools (Google Drive, Sheets, Slack)
• Support coordination between accounting, FP&A, and data teams
• Monitor shared inboxes and Slack channels to ensure timely responses

Internal Operations Support

• Maintain and update internal documents, trackers, and process guides
• Follow and execute standardized workflows across tools (QBO, Ramp, Gusto, etc.)
• Support data entry, file organization, and system hygiene
• Assist with basic reporting and status tracking

Process & Systems

• Adhere to existing processes and best practices
• Flag issues, delays, or inconsistencies to senior team members
• Support incremental process improvements where appropriate

Skills & Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in operations, admin, or coordination roles (startup or professional services preferred)
• Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, and basic SaaS systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Comfortable learning new tools and systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• Based in the U.S.
