The unit has 27 beds and consists of diverse staff including RNs and CNAs. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 5:1. This position involves medication administration, both oral and IV. Safe ambulation and toileting are key responsibilities. High-quality charting is essential for effective patient care. Central line dressing changes and catheter care are part of the duties. Wound care, including wet to dry dressing changes and wound vac management, is required. Experience with blood administration and pain management is preferred. Performing neuro checks and monitoring vital signs are standard practices. The ideal candidate is personable and inspiring to a highly motivated patient population. A relaxed and supportive culture exists within the team. Staff members often support each other by picking up extra shifts. The unit embraces innovative technology and has been recently renovated. Strong collaboration with therapy staff is crucial for patient recovery. Communication is facilitated through iPhones and in-room computers.
