AMTS is hiring a PLC Controls Coordinator (ICA Controls Automation) . The ICA Coordinator will serve as the dedicated bridge between owner 's Design & Construction teams and the Controls Software Development organization. Ensure that PLC and SCADA software deliverables are produced on time, meet quality standards, and align with the construction schedule — enabling true plug-and-play panel delivery to site. Accountable from early planning through commissioning, startup, and formal handover.

Responsibilities:

Design Document & Engineering Input Management

•           Maintain and distribute the current I/O list to software developers, tracking revisions and communicating changes that affect PLC tag databases or SCADA graphics

•           Manage IP address assignment registers for PLCs, Remote I/O (RIO) panels, packaged equipment controllers, and network devices

•           Provide up-to-date P&IDs, System Operating Objectives (SOOs), sequence narratives, and cause-and-effect matrices to support logic development

•           Provide up-to-date PLC memory maps and I/O addresses from vendors to support accurate SCADA development

•           Flag design changes (DCNs/ECNs) with software impact, assess scope change implications, and communicate urgency to both design and development teams

•           Maintain a document distribution log confirming software developers are always working from approved, latest-revision documents

Software Development Coordination & Schedule

•           Maintain and actively update the software development progress dashboard; provide weekly status reports to project leadership

•           Coordinate with the e-panel fabrication shop to confirm software and hardware configuration loading timelines prior to panel shipment

•           Track software development milestones against the construction schedule; identify float erosion, resource constraints, and risks to FAT/OAT timelines

•           Confirm all software deliverables are version-controlled and released through the appropriate approval workflow before loading into panels

RFI Management — Software & Controls

•           Log, track, and assign all software-related RFIs; ensure each has a clear owner and response deadline

•           Route RFIs to the correct respondent and escalate overdue items to prevent schedule impact

•           Consolidate and communicate RFI responses back to developers in a timely, actionable format

•           Identify recurring RFI patterns signaling systemic design documentation gaps and recommend corrective action

Software Acceptance Testing (PAT & OAT) Coordination

•           Facilitate development of PAT test documents in collaboration with startup engineers, system owners, design, and the software development team

•           Ensure PAT is conducted in simulation mode with the relevant system owner present; track punch list items through closure

•           Coordinate OAT activities, confirming all pre-conditions (instrument calibration, loop check completion, network connectivity, system energization) are satisfied

•           Track and manage the punch list generated during PAT and OAT; maintain complete test documentation package for handover

Commissioning Readiness & Field Coordination

•           Monitor system energization and network connectivity status; communicate to the software development team when conditions are met to deploy SCADA or initiate loop checking

•           Coordinate with the Owner Commissioning Team on system turnover readiness; confirm loop check documents and instrument installation completion prior to deploying field and SCADA teams

•           Serve as the communication hub between I&C contractor field crews and SCADA/PLC software developers during end-to-end loop checks

•           Resolve or escalate issues arising during field commissioning with clear escalation paths for safety-critical and schedule-critical items

Cx Alloy Checklist Completion & Reporting

•           Actively assist in the completion of Cx Alloy checklists for controls systems

•           Report system completion status and outstanding checklist items to the Commissioning Manager regularly

•           Support the formal handover process by confirming all documentation, test records, and punch list items are closed or formally deferred per project procedures

Coordinate PAT sessions; issue work directives to I&C field crews and SCADA developers; manage loop check sequencing; update Cx Alloy checklists

OAT & Startup

Confirm all PAT punch items closed before OAT; coordinate OAT execution; maintain test documentation package for handover

Handover

Confirm all Cx Alloy checklists complete; ensure software as-built documentation submitted; coordinate final punch list disposition; support formal system acceptance

Key Skills:

-        Technical Knowledge: Understanding of PLC/SCADA systems, I/O architecture, and control panel configuration (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal preferred); ability to read P&IDs, I/O lists, cause-and-effect matrices, and SOO narratives; familiarity with industrial network architecture (PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, VLANs, OT cybersecurity); working knowledge of semiconductor fab life safety systems (gas detection, EMO interlocks) preferred

-        Project Coordination: Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across design, construction, and software disciplines; proficiency with Primavera P6 and progress dashboards; experience managing RFI workflows and technical document control; familiarity with Cx Alloy or equivalent commissioning management platforms

-        Communication & Leadership: Clear, structured written and verbal communication; proactive risk identification and escalation; ability to manage competing priorities across multiple active systems; comfortable working across time zones with offshore development teams

Performance Indicators:

-        PLC/SCADA software deliverables completed and loaded prior to FAT/panel ship date — on schedule

-        Software RFIs closed within defined response time targets (standard ≤5 business days; critical ≤48 hours)

-        Dashboard current and distributed on weekly cadence with no missed reporting cycles

-        Zero loop check delays attributable to software readiness or network configuration coordination gaps

-        PAT and OAT punch list items tracked to closure; no items unresolved at system handover

-        Cx Alloy checklists for controls systems completed accurately and on time per commissioning schedule
