Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring Epic charting proficiency and night shift availability in a high-acuity, multi-diagnosis inpatient setting. Requirements Active RN license — Idaho license or compact RN license valid in Idaho required Current BLS certification required ACLS certification required (must be obtained within 12 months of hire) Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required; 2 years preferred Travel nursing experience preferred Epic EMR experience required Ability to apply the nursing process across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Strong organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal communication skills 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Responsibilities 48-bed Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting Diverse patient diagnoses including sepsis, CIWA, AMS/confusion, COPD, post‑op care, AKI, trauma, respiratory failure, bowel obstruction, pyelonephritis, cardiac conditions, diabetes, GI conditions, isolation precautions, and SI with medical indications Patient ratio of 1:6 Schedule is 4x12‑hour night shifts (19:00–07:00) Floating to other units required based on demonstrated competencies Weekend and holiday coverage required Charting via Epic (experience required) Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler No travel pairs or groups accepted No more than 3 days of RTO will be approved for the contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation First‑time travelers should refer to position details for eligibility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr
