This structure allows the firm to respond quickly to client needs, develop solutions that address complex challenges, avoid the limitations of bureaucracy, and attract talented individuals who are driven to succeed.ResponsibilitiesThe Energy and Midstream Investment Banking Group is seeking an Experienced Analyst to support the execution of a broad range of advisory and capital raising transactions across the energy and midstream sector. The Analyst will work closely with Associates and senior bankers, gaining meaningful experience in transaction execution, financial analysis, and strategic advisory.Support the execution of equity financings, M&A, and other strategic advisory transactions for energy and midstream clientsPrepare pitch books, offering memoranda, management presentations, and other transaction marketing materialsPerform detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis to support live transactions and pitchesConduct industry, company, and asset-level research across the energy and midstream value chainParticipate in client meetings and investor presentationsSupport drafting sessions for underwriting and advisory engagementsConduct comprehensive industry, company, and transaction-specific due diligenceProvide analytical and execution support to senior bankers and deal teamsQualifications1–2 years of investment banking experience; energy and midstream experience strongly preferredDemonstrated experience supporting M&A, capital markets transactions, and strategic advisory assignmentsGeneral knowledge of energy and midstream industry trendsFinancial modeling and valuation expertise; knowledge of energy/midstream-specific frameworks preferredExceptional verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsSeries 63 and 79 licenses preferredH1Bs considered on a case by case basisEducational QualificationsBachelor's Degree requiredUndergraduate or graduate coursework in a relevant field (engineering, energy, finance, or related) is a differentiating plusCompensationBase salary range of $125,000–$135,000, plus discretionary bonusThe actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis considering a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).Location: Houston, TXEmployment Type: Full-time
